Mark your calendars for the Blast Token Airdrop happening next week. Blast, an Ethereum-based blockchain network, is giving away free tokens to users and developers on June 26. To qualify, users must log into their Blast account using their personal crypto wallet at least once, while developers need to distribute all their Blast Gold and Blast Points to users by June 25. Tokens will be evenly split between users and developers based on their account balance and activity on Blast-based apps. Originally planned for May, the airdrop was delayed to increase users’ token allocations.

In other news, BitFlyer, a Japanese cryptocurrency exchange, is set to acquire FTX Japan, a branch of the FTX trading platform that went bankrupt in 2022. The deal is expected to cost BitFlyer billions of yen and could see FTX Japan focusing on managing and storing cryptocurrency for large investors. This move will help BitFlyer expand its presence in Japan.

India has fined Binance $2.25 million for violating anti-money laundering rules by operating in the country without proper records and measures in place. Despite being banned earlier this year, Binance has been approved to operate in India after agreeing to pay the fine.

On a positive note, Worldcoin, a project integrating cryptocurrency with digital identity, has been cleared of any wrongdoing in Kenya after being suspended in 2023. The project, co-founded by OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, can now resume operations after the criminal investigation department found no evidence of misconduct.

There is a dispute between Kraken and CertiK over missing funds. CertiK claims to have found a flaw in Kraken’s system and spent $3 million to prove it, intending to return the money in a “white hat” operation. However, Kraken alleges that CertiK did not return the full amount, leading to confusion in the crypto community. Both companies are working to resolve the issue and clarify the situation.
